Open Now Open Submission Exhibition Exhibition dates: 20 June - 1 July, 2012 Gallery of Photography is delighted to host Open Now – an open submission exhibition organised by Belfast Photo Factory, a young photographic collective providing resources and opportunities for emerging photographic artists to develop and continue their practice. The seventeen artists invited to participate in Open Now are: Alex Wong (Turkey), Andy Rochelli (Italy), Anne Ackermann (Germany), Davide Maione (UK), Emer Gillespie (UK), Gianluca Gamberini (France), Gwynne Johnson (USA), Ian Bamford (Ireland), Jessica Hines (USA), Kayung Lai (UK), Mateusz Sarello (Poland), Patricia Eichart (Germany), Patricia Van De Camp (Holland), Paul Gaffney (Ireland), Robert Ellis (Ireland), Saba Ferrari (Italy) and Stefania Sapio (Ireland). The artists were selected for Open Now by jury members Donovan Wylie (photographer, Magnum Photos), Tanya Kiang and Trish Lambe, (curators, Gallery of Photography Ireland) from a total of 270 submissions from 32 nations around the world. The Open Now exhibition is a testament to the strength and diversity of contemporary photographic practices. All works on show are also available for purchase. initiatives are generating funds required to supply our members with the best equipment
available to help them complete their work without needing to go outside of Northern
Ireland.
