A triptych from threads Daniel Holfeld This triptych is taken from threads, anelegiac series of 17 images, representing Barbour Campbell Threads Ltd. (Lisburn, Belfast) - at it's time, the largest linen factory in the world. The factory, now disused, has been scheduled for residential development. All functioning machinery has been sold to India, China, Poland and the Czech Republic. What remains is the shell of the epoch that helped make Ireland and Western Europe such a wealthy figure with the production/engineering industry.
